A burst water pipe in a residential area has left some houses without water or lower pressure than normal.

Thames Water said it found the burst pipe last night (Wednesday, March 26) in Angus Court, Thame.

A team has been working overnight to restore the water supply and is on site this morning.

Bottled water is being delivered to affected residents by the company's customer incident responders.

"We're sorry if you have no water or a lower pressure than normal this morning," said a Thames Water spokesperson.

"Unfortunately, the repair has been more challenging than expected due to the pipe being deep underground, which required special parts and fittings.

"We’re still working to carefully dig down and expose the pipe, making sure not to affect any other utilities in the area."

Pictures show the works being carried out and the road flooded last night.

We'll provide a further update by 1:00pm.

The company said a further update will be provided by 1pm today.
